On Friday, Duncan Baker MP visited About with Friends in Cromer to learn more about their work.
Mr Baker met Helen Dalton-Hare BEM (Chief Executive), Sam Harwood (Deputy CEO), staff, and members. About with Friends, now in its eighteenth year, creates opportunities for adults and young people with learning disabilities to live the life they choose.
He said, "It was truly inspiring to meet Helen and the team, and to see so many people benefiting from the diverse range of activities About with Friends offers, which help those with learning disabilities to develop confidence and life skills. I was also keen to hear about the challenges faced by organisations like About with Friends, in respect of government and county council policy and services; and to see how, as North Norfolk's MP, I can help support this amazing and vital work."
Mr Baker will meet Matt Hancock, Health Secretary, this week to discuss North Norfolk's health and social care needs.
